GENERAL INFORMATIONS
1. REGISTRATION
Participants are invited to complete their registration, online, on the website: www.science-diplomatie.org
2. ACCOMMODATION
For security and transport obligations, reservations are made by the presidency of Faso, in one of the best hotels in Ouagadougou, Lancaster Ouaga 2000. https://lancasterouaga2000.com/

3. AIRLINES
Several international airlines deserve Ouagadougou several times a week. No airline has been designated as the official carrier of the conference.
4. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
In order to facilitate reception at Ouagadougou International Airport, all participants are requested to provide details of their arrival and departure (dates, times, flights) on the registration form.
A reception service will be set up at Ouagadougou international airport. This service will also provide assistance with formalities and transfers from the airport to hotel. He will also provide transfers between the hotel and the airport at the end of the meeting.
5. VISAS
Participants from ECOWAS member countries do not need an entry visa to Burkina.
All other participants are requested to contact the nearest Burkina Faso diplomatic mission where a courtesy visa will be issued. In the exceptional case where participants have no possibility of obtaining a visa in their country, a visa will be issued to them upon arrival at Ouagadougou international airport.

6. VACCINATIONS AND HEALTH
The vaccine against yellow fever is compulsory. A vaccination certificate will be requested upon entering the country. It is also recommended to prevent against: diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, malaria, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, tetanus and typhoid. However, the advice of a doctor is recommended for certain vaccines. Prevention against rabies is also recommended.
During the meeting a first-aid medical service will be provided at Lancaster Hotel Ouaga 2000.
From the Covid-19. Burkina Faso has been able to effectively manage the Covid-19 disease, with great success, by respecting barrier gestures and responsible behavior of the populations. Since the first cases reported in the country in March 2019, Burkina Faso has recorded as of October 18, 2021, 214 deaths linked to Covid-19.
During the conference, a health commission will be responsible for monitoring the health of all participants and providing them with help if necessary. A health system will also be put in place to monitor and comply with barrier measures in the face of Covid-19, at all the sites that will be used for the conference: hotel, conference room, technological village, etc. recommended by the World Health Organization.
7. LUGGAGE SERVICE
A special service will be responsible for managing the luggage of delegates.
8. INFORMATION OFFICE
An information desk will be available to participants in the premises of the International Conference Center from November 28 to December 3, 2021.
9. SAFETY
Faced with the threat of terrorism, the Burkinabè are showing courage and great resilience. If areas are prey to the threat, Ouagadougou and its surroundings offer conditions of tranquility.
All the necessary security arrangements will be taken by the authorities of Burkina Faso. Participants are requested to wear their identification plate at the Ouaga 2000 International Conference Center and at all official events that will take place during the meeting.
10. CLIMATE CONDITIONS
The weather at the end of November is relatively cold and dry in Ouagadougou. The average temperature is 20 degrees.
11. CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE
The CFA franc is the currency used in Burkina Faso. It has a fixed parity with the euro: 1 euro = 655.957 CFA francs.
Participants will have access to a currency exchange office at the Lancaster hotel, and in the vicinity of the Ouaga 2000 conference hall.
12. TRANSPORT
A bus transport service will be available to participants between Ouagadougou airport and Hotel Lancaster where they will stay. Transportation will also be provided between the hotel and any official venue.
13. PRESS SERVICE
A press center with free WiFi will be installed at the Ouaga 2000 Conference Center and will be responsible for media relations: national and international written press, radio and television. Journalists wishing to cover the conference are requested to register online, or obtain accreditation from:

15. RECEPTIONS AND OFFFICIAL EVENTS
The inaugural ceremony of the conference will take place on November 29, 2021 at the Ouaga 2000 International Conference Center, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Roch Marc Christian KABORE, President of Faso.
